Melissa is a Latina registered dietitian who is committed to empowering patients from all walks of life and ethnicities to build a healthy and sustainable relationship with food. She holds a BS in Human Nutrition and BA in Multimedia Journalism from Virginia Tech, completed her didactic program at Cal State LA, and earned a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition from CSUN. She specializes in metabolic syndrome and diabetes control but digging into a deeper understanding of ADHD and gut nutrition.
Melissa's mission is to guide and encourage patients of all cultural backgrounds and age groups to provide them with the best possible nutrition care. She believes that small changes can make a big difference in one's overall long-term health.
Melissa enjoys Peruvian food, crepes, and spending time with her husband and dog. She also loves trying new coffee shops, exploring different cuisines, and traveling.
